I am going to be honest with you guys. I struggle with Strength Training. I always have. I told myself for months that I would going to start incorporating strength training into my workout routines, but never stuck with it. When I started thinking about goals for the Winter Wonderland Warriors Challenge, I knew that I needed to make consistent strength training one of my goals.
I think more than anything, I was/am intimidated by strength training. So I needed something to get me started. After looking on Amazon , I found found this...
I will admit that the DVD is a little cheesy, but I have found it a very valuable tool for my strength training. The DVD contains three "workouts". It starts with "workout 1" where you basically learn the moves, and the importance of stretching. Each move is done for 12 reps and 2 sets with stretching in between. Then your workouts increase, and you end with "workout 3" basically being a strength circuit training.
I just wanted to let you guys know about this DVD in case any of you were struggling with how to begin strength training.
**I wasn't paid to review or tell you about this DVD. I just like it and thought you might like it too :)

Omg!!! I struggle with weight lifting, too!!! Thanks for the great tip!!!!
ReplyDeleteI struggle with strength training too.... I fail at doing it. It's not that I can't it's jsut that I don't want to. It's not nearly as fun as other workouts.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great DVD!!! I've been striggling with strength training, too. I did it consistently for nine months, and then my gym closed. In the past five months, I've strength trained maybe 10 times. Yikes. Work videos are great, and this one looks like a winner! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that you've found something that is useful to you! I don't understand why all the workout dvds are so cheesy!!!!
ReplyDeleteStrength Training with extra cheese please!
Great job!
Thanks for posting that! I also struggle with ST and maybe this will finally get me going as well. There's also a 45-minute Yoga "class" on YouTube that's supposed to be good for Strength/Stretching. If I can find it again I'll let you know the link. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI've been saying "I really should incorporate some strength training" for about....oh....er.....7 months now?! Eek! That looks like a nice, non-intimidating introduction to a weight routine. Good find!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it. It is important to learn HOW to do it. I think they are all cheesy...why??? I guess to give us something to giggle at while we are sweating/working our tails off!
ReplyDeleteJ
I need to do that too... :/
ReplyDeleteI really need to get into the strength training. I'm going to check out that DVD! Thanks!
