Today I am so HUNGRY! Luckily, I am at work, because I know if I were home I would be munching around the kitchen! Last night, I had the munchies too! I tried to keep it under control with raw veggies, but then I also had popcorn before bed! UGH!
I have made some new running goals in term of speed. I am going to try to figure out how to add them to the side, and then keep track of when I "conquer" the goal :) So far I have been able to conquer a 13 minute mile, 12:45 minute mile, and a 12:30 minute mile. I also killed a 25minute 2mile run yesterday! I love marking them off my list on the fridge at home. I still have so much improvement with speed, but I am making baby steps and that makes me happy!
Tommy and I are heading to the mountains this weekend! I am excited. We are going for baseball, but I am looking forward to some time in the crafting community and a little wine tasting :)
Honestly, some days I am soooo hungry too! I try to listen to my body, without fear. I first determine if it's physical hunger of my emotional hunger - usually by drinking water, putting off eating. If I'm still hungry, I eat something portioned and healthy. Running makes you hungry!!!!
ReplyDeleteI started 5 days a week gradually. I don't always do 5K or more 5 days a week. At least one, if not two of those five days might be a shorter run.
I don't think I run faster enough to get injured! LOL
Thanks for the comment Dawne! I think I am going to add a short run (1 mile)to my mix in June :)
ReplyDeleteI get super hungry on the days when I work with my trainer. I think the extra pushing burns a lot of calories. Did you workout harder than usual today?
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know that I passed on the question you asked about heel pain on my blog today. It will be included in next Wednesday's "Ask a Trainer" post. Thanks for stopping by and participating. I think this will be a great and helpful series.
Wow - that's a fast pace if you ask me - my fastest 5k time is only like 38 minutes. Maybe some day I'll break a sub 30 minute 5k!
ReplyDeleteYour weekend sounds fun - I love baseball and you can never have too much wine!
Jessica!
ReplyDeleteI noticed your question to the trainers on Karen's site. It sounds like you are getting planter fasciitis. If so you need to make some changes now before it gets serious. Are you a heel striker when you run? That will lead to PF. Mid foot strike if you can learn to. Run on softer surfaces, never concrete of asphalt. There are other things like stitching, ice, etc, sleeping in high top shoes to stay flexed and so forth, but this is the Internet, I can only offer so much. Pay attention to this if you can. I hope this is helpful.
I have something for you on my blog!
