Three Things Thursday

1. Thank you guys so much for all the support you have shown me during the last week regarding my thyroid condition. Your sweet words on here and in personal email meant the world to me! I am so thankful for my blog buddies :)

2. I started medicine for the thyroid today, but was told (by pharmacist)  it could take up to 6 weeks before the medicine starts working. I have to take the medicine on an empty stomach 1.5 hours before eating breakfast. This could be interesting because I get moody if I don't eat as soon as I get up! LOL Today I set my alarm, woke up long enough to take the med, and then went back to bed until my usual alarm time. That worked, but having to get up early for the meds could lead to a good time to get in a little extra working out :)

3. I think I have decided on a new GP. I looked at reviews online and they were all favorable. I have three months of prescriptions so I figure I will wait until med February and then call to get an appointment. I am a little nervous about seeing someone new, but I think it will be for the best.

  2. This Thursday blog post sounds a lot better than the posts earlier in the week! Things are looking up! So glad to hear it!

May want to consider keeping a journal from now until your meeting with the new doc. Journal your current weight and daily food intake and exercise. That way, when you go to the new doc, you can say THIS is what I'm doing and these are the results.

I hope this medicine works for you!

  3. I agree, having to wait 1.5 hours to eat is the perfect opportunity to work out. That would make the time go super fast for you!

  4. They say it can take that long but most of the people I have talked to, myself included, say it was pretty quick. Good for you for finding a new dr.
