Looking Back, Looking Ahead

Sometimes when the scale stalls, it is easy to forget all the progress you have made. During the past two years, I have only lost about 10 pounds...and they were hard earned! But I can't forget my total progress. Of course I want to keep moving forward. I will keep moving forward...even if the progress is slow...it is happening!
2008 - I remember thinking this was a great picture!
This summer- I wasn't thrilled when I saw this picture the first time.

Even though the scale hasn't changed much, I do notice changes in my body. I am stronger and my endurance improves everyday!

  1. It's so important to maintain perspective, which it sounds like you have from this post. Though you say the scale hasn't budged much, I see a great deal of difference in the two photos. Keep up the good work, and know it will all be okay.

You're SUCH an inspiration to me. You work so hard and really give it your all. I know your body fights against you at every turn it seems, but you're strong, you can do amazing things, and you're one the hardest workers I know. I am so proud of you!

  5. That is just a 10-pound difference? NO WAY! You must have lost quite a bit of fat and muscled up then because yourbody looks much smaller! You look fantastic, Jessica. :) I'm always struck by how pretty you are.

P.S. Photos blow my mind. I use 'em as inspiration all the time. Your before and after has inspired me today. Thanks a bundle! It's always so nice to see where you were and where you are and where you can go. I love it!

  8. I agree, the scale doesn't show all your success - I am only down 13 pounds, but I went down 2 sizes in clothes - my 12's are getting big too! :D

I always feel uplifted when I look at old pictures of myself, 40+ pounds ago.
